Can anyone tell me more information about this new winglet? Where can I find more information about?
" Minix works on the principle that the vortex will hit the wing at exactly the same distance from its tip as the measurement of thickness of the wing. It is designed to allow the vortex to escape through slits in its tube-like body as pressure increases. The result, the vortex dissipates into a linear flow through an opening at the back of the winglet.
“This is the first time anyone has discovered how to create a linear flow which destroys the vortex,” says Hugues. “Often an innovation seems really simple once it has been discovered. In the end, the results count.” " in Flight Daily News

From personal experience some of the origin winglet work was done by Dr. Konig at Mississippi State University (I worked in the wind tunnel during my sophomore year). If need be he would take calls from anyone with this sort of question. He was always helpful as a professor. I'm not sure of his phone number but if you call the campus I know they'd hook you up if he's still around. 字串9

Aerodolphin,
The Minix Web-Site can be found via the following link: http://www.minix.fr/ in both English and French.
Rikman If Beethoven had been killed in a plane crash at the age of 22, it would have changed the history of music... and of aviation.
