I am interested in finding a 2D/3D airfoil calculator where I can alter sections (and not just NACA ones), section thickness, chord and angle of attack. Calculating lift, drag etc. Is anyone aware of such a thing?

Yes, the wonderful microCFD. http://www.microcfd.com/download.htm
The demo lasts 3 days, you'll have to reinstall your system from scratch if you want to reinstall it. This software is so good I'm half tempted to buy it. Cheers

Don't know if the answers I'm getting are right, wrong or indifferent, but it's too cool for words.
Wish it were a tad easier to use, tho... TTFN

and a lot faster. I've been crunching on this thing for nearly an hour and it's only 1/3 of the way through.
Obviously, I need one of these LN2 cooled Pentiums:

Yes, I tried to understand sails using my old 400 MHz and it took about 24 hours to solve just one setup. On my games computer it was heaps better.
BTW Neil, for a car you'll have to scale the results, email me and I'll discuss that with you. Cheers
