vortex lattice method - drag

Hey, I've been working on designing a vortex lattice method program in matlab but am a bit stuck on how to calculate the induced drag. Do i need to calculate how much the lift vector at each bound vortex is rotated by the induced flow along it (due to the change in the effective angle of attack)?
Cheers,
Kieran
