What are the benefits of coating a Bellmouth and can it be quantified?
I know that properly coating surface can help with airflow and anti-fowling. Also, coating can reduce corrosion in high humidity areas.
Lately, I have heard that efficiency gain (improved airflow) is negligible and corrosion is the primary reason for why to coat a Bellmouth.

I dont think that the coating of a surface ahs any great effect on the fluid dynamic perfocmance of th intake duct. Yes, there will be a reduction in laminar flow, but it will be so small as to be ignored, especially when you consider the original assumptions within aero/CFD theory. The most probable reasoning for a coating, are: a) It looks better. b) Helps protect 字串2 c) It keeps business in trade!!
Quantifying the performance benefits would be a non-rewarding task with negligiible results.
