Folks

Can aybody throw any light on the issue of special seat fireblocking materials being required for use with leather dress covers ?
I am lead to believe that the wrong combination of fireblocking & leather can cause a catalytic reaction & fuel a fire.  In other words leather dress covers seem to require a special fireblocking material.

Thanks Graham Murphy

Some information could quoted from DOT/FAA/AR-00/12 Aircraft Material Fire test Handbook (chapter 7).

You could download it from FAA web-site.
