lateral 2 per rev vibrations

I have been having a long running discusion with a pilot who claims that you can get 2 per rev lateral vibrations.  Now I have heard of 2 per rev vertical vibrations and have felt them but as for 2 per rev lateral vibs, does such a beast exist?
