Hello,
Does any one have available the manufacturing/material specifications for the UH-1V rotor blade. I am doing an unofficial blade failure investigation for a friend who is a UH-1V pilot. I just need the basic info. i.e., what exact material for skin and honeycomb structure eg. 2024 alumunimum, heat treatment, finishes etc.

You are asking WAY too much from the forum membership.
You need the BELL UH-1V (?) engineering drawings, material specs and the processes-specs. These are likely proprietary to either BELL or the DOD. There is one company I have heard of that migght supply drawings [$$$]... but may not have access to the specs.
Also You MUST have the failed article [blade] for detailed analysis [inspection and lab work]. 字串3
I believe that this project is NOT practical in a field or "unofficial environment", UNLESS You have a lot [YES, A BOAT-LOAD] of failure analysis experience under Your belt. There will be MANY operational, maintenance, environmental, engineering and material aspects to consider that could factor in... or "cross-factor". This is based on my +,-20yrs of this kind of work [as a USAF DOD engr].
IF the helo is a US or foreign military acft... then the US DOD engineering folks [USA, USN or USAF depot engrs] should be the ones to get this failure analysis accomplished under a "HAP" [High Accident Potential] imperative [assuming that the acft safely landed]... if not the “mishap board" should have this done ASAP as part of the investigation.
IF the helo is a civilian acft, then a strong word to the FAA is required.
