Can someone tell me what the certification margins would be on max takeoff weight of an Sk76 or similar type? A friend of mine is being taken of the aircraft as a paramedic for being five pounds overweight. I believe their max weight is 225lbs, which is being used only as an intimidation factor. Any related information would be greatly appreciated for his case coming up.
Thanks

lepage,
Gross take-off weight for a helicopter can very widely with regards to temperature and altitude.

I don't mean to sound cruel, but losing 5lbs for a 225lb guy doesn't really sound all that difficult. If your job requires it. The manager at my favorite strip bar seems to have little trouble keeping all of his gals on a strict weight limit.

tbuelna, Maybe the girls get more incentives to keep their weight down, and much probably better pay!!
